Since the revision of the ISO 9001 quality management standard in 2015, it has become clear that the requirements placed on the company’s management (“top management”) with regard to their responsibility for the management system have increased in scope and clarity. Due to the uniform structure of the management system standards (High Level Structure), ISO 45001 does not handle this any differently. What’s more, with regard to occupational safety and health (OHS), the level of detail goes even beyond ISO 9001, with 13 require­ments for top management.
