Courses under NITTP

New Industrialisation and Technology Training Programme (NITTP) is a scheme by HK Government to nurture local technology talent. The NITTP subsidises local companies to train their employees in advanced technologies.


RTTP retitled to NITTP

The “Reindustrialisation and Technology Training Programme” (RTTP) has been retitled to “New Industrialisation and Technology Training Programme” (NITTP) from Oct 2023. The NITTP aims at subsidising local companies to train their staff in advanced technologies, especially those related to “New Industrialisation”. 

 

What is NITTP?  

  • New Industrialisation and Technology Training Programme (NITTP), was launched by HK Government to nurture local technology talent.
  • The NITTP subsidises local companies on a 2:1 (NITTP : Company) matching basis to train their staff in advanced technologies.
  • The Vocational Training Council (VTC) administers the NITTP as its Secretariat.

  • Above course duration includes time for exam and an exam retake when required.

 

Terms 

  • The general Training Service Terms apply.
  • The participant shall pass the online exam in DQS HK office, to get an electronic certificate.

 

Who are eligible for NITTP grant? 

A Company:

  • registered in Hong Kong under the Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310);
  • must be a non-government and non-subvented organization; and
  • the employee norminated is a Hong Kong permanent resident under the full-time employment of the company with the necessary background / experience relevant to the advanced technology.

Each company is subject to a funding ceiling of HK$500,000 from the NITTP in each financial year.

 

How to apply for NITTP?

  • The company should complete the application form and submit to VTC with supporting documents at least 5 weeks before the start of course.
  • The company may apply for 50% partial advance payment of training grant.
  • The company should submit claim form and relevant documents to the VTC within 2 months after satisfactory completion of the training course.
