The training covers all relevant AccountAbility AA1000 Standards and will provide “Sustainability report Assurance Practitioners” with an understanding of the AA1000 Assurance Standard, the principles of sustainability reporting, and the practical skills needed to conduct assurance on sustainability reports by focusing on the credibility and reliability of the reported information.

Learning objectives:
- Understanding the concept of Sustainability and its roots
- Understand the principles of sustainability reporting and the importance of assurance in enhancing credibility and reliability of sustainability reports.
- Demonstrate the capacity to apply the AA1000AP, principles and standards as well as other relevant standards and guidelines
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of stakeholder engagement, sustainability reporting and materiality analysis.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the AA1000 Assurance Standard and its application in sustainability report assurance.
- Develop practical skills and techniques needed to conduct assurance on sustainability reports, including risk assessment, evidence gathering, and reporting.
- Understand the ethical considerations in sustainability report assurance and adhere to the principles of independence, objectivity, and professional skepticism.
- Provide insight into the various aspects of assurance engagement in relation to sustainability reporting, including recognized methods and techniques of auditing.
The training will be conducted virtually. Participants will complete a written exam and a practical exercise to demonstrate their understanding of the AA1000 Assurance Standard and their ability to conduct assurance on sustainability reports. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
