The Transported Asset Protection Association Asia Pacific (TAPA APAC) has announced that the upcoming 2026 version update to its core supply chain standards, the Facility Security Requirements (FSR) and Trucking Security Requirements (TSR), will most likely be ready in English version in Sep 2026.

The revised standards will introduce strengthened security requirements, refined audit criteria, and enhanced training guidance to support organisations and professionals in achieving high-quality compliance globally.

Facility Security Requirements (FSR)

Specify the minimum industry requirements for secure warehousing or in-transit storage within a supply chain. It outlines the processes and methods to be used in attaining and maintaining the TAPA FSR certification for their facilities and transit storage operations.

Trucking Security Requirements (TSR)

Focuses exclusively on cargo transport by truck and represents the minimum requirements specifically for transporting products via road within a supply chain. TAPA TSR Standards detail the processes and specifications to be used in attaining and maintaining the TAPA TSR certification for their trucking operations.

Approach for the Revision

The 2026 FSR and TSR Standards were developed through a collaborative, multi-stakeholder process, which brings together:

  1. Industry consultation and feedback collection from TAPA members worldwide
  2. Threat and incident data analysis from TAPA Intelligence Systems (TIS) and global law-enforcement partners
  3. Review of new technologies and operational practices in logistics, warehousing, and transport
  4. Drafting and updating control requirements, audit protocols, and compliance guidance.
  5. Global alignment and approval across TAPA’s three regions.
  6. Auditor and member training preparation prior to official release.

Transition Plan

  • The final date to complete audits under Tapa FSR/TRS Standard Ver 2023 is 30 Sep 2026.
  • For training under Ver 2023, associated parties shall apply for training no later than 31 Jul 2026.
  • Training under Version 2026 is scheduled by Tapa APAC to commence in Sep 2026.
