Frequently asked questions and New requirements to Module A , B & C
In alignment with the AA1000 requirements outlined by Accountability, delegates must complete a set of 20 questions by correctly matching answers to the provided questions.
This assessment ensures a foundational understanding of key concepts and serves as a mandatory prerequisite to begin the modules.
Note: while the pre-assessment is a mandatory step, your training is only fully recognised once you have successfully completed the required modules (A, B, and C) and met any additional prerequisites,
such as the new GHG reporting module.
8hrs per module - 1 year to complete.
The training is conducted as eLearning on DQS Learner Management System and is self paced.
There is options to pay for the qualification / course in instalments. Speak to a DQS representative.
Yes, each module includes a knowledge test that must be completed online. The test is multiple-choice, and participants must score at least 75% to pass and progress to the next module. Participants can retake the test up to three times if necessary. If you failed the modules after 3 times you will have to purchase again.
Yes, we do offer group discounts: if you have a group of 6 or more, we can give a bundle discount of 15% OR 5% per module discount per delegate.
To successfully complete the AA1000 online training: Enrol in all three modules (A, B, and C) in sequential order. Complete the content for each module. Pass the knowledge test for each module with a minimum score of 75%. Upon passing all module tests, participants will receive an official AA1000 Associate Sustainability Practitioner certificate. Should you not complete the course in the year you will forfeit and need to re-purchase.
Completion of the AA1000 course ensures compliance with AccountAbility’s requirements as all training is aligned with their standards. To link individuals to your organisation: Provide the names and email addresses of your team members who will be completing the training during enrolment. Notify DQS to ensure these individuals are registered under your organisation’s account within the portal. Upon successful completion, participants must submit their DQS-issued certificates to a DQS Administrator.
Updated training requirements for 2025 include an additional module on GHG (Greenhouse Gas) reporting. This module is mandatory and must be completed before proceeding to Module C.
It focuses on the GHG Protocol, a globally recognised framework for measuring and managing greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring delegates are well-equipped to meet sustainability and reporting standards.
Yes, the GHG training includes an assessment to evaluate your understanding of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and its application. Completing this assessment successfully is required to proceed with Module C and to ensure compliance with the updated training requirements.
