What is TAPA FSR Certification?

TAPA EMEA's Facility Security Requirements (FSR) ensure the protection of high-value products in facilities like warehouses and distribution centres. Reviewed every three years, the FSR Standard evolves to address emerging security threats. The FSR Standard sets minimum security standards, maintenance procedures, and certification criteria. It offers three certification levels and a Multisite option for companies with multiple facilities. Collaboration between service providers, auditors, and buyers is crucial for successful FSR implementation.

What Does TAPA FSR Certification Entail?

The TAPA FSR certification process entails a rigorous independent audit that meticulously evaluates compliance across all facets of BIL's operations, including:

  • Physical Security: Robust measures such as secure fencing, access control systems, and CCTV surveillance safeguard facilities, minimising opportunities for theft and unauthorised access.
  • IT Security: Secure data networks, firewalls, and access controls protect sensitive information and ensure the integrity of logistics processes.
  • Personnel Security: Stringent background checks, ongoing training, and security awareness programs guarantee the trustworthiness and vigilance of all personnel handling cargo.
  • Procedural Security: Standardised security procedures implemented across all logistical steps, from warehousing to transportation, mitigate risks and ensure consistent protection.
  • Technology: Leveraging cutting-edge tools like real-time tracking systems and electronic seals provides greater visibility and control over cargo movement.
