Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has recently introduced an updated version of its Cyber Security Requirements, setting higher expectations for suppliers handling sensitive product data, digital development tasks, or connected services.
These requirements align with industry-recognized frameworks such as TISAX® or ISO/IEC 27001, reflecting DTNA’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding its global supply chain.
The document outlines key focus areas including:
- Implementation of a structured Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- Role-based access control and data confidentiality mechanisms
- Incident response protocols and monitoring controls
- Security awareness and training for all relevant staff
- Third-party alignment through TISAX® certification (where applicable)
Current TISAX® Labels for Daimler Suppliers
Specially, DTNA requests the supplier to provide evidence of an appropriate level of information security at the supplier’s premises, in particular by submitting the TISAX® label with Assessment Level 3 for production material suppliers. DTNA may request the same label from all other suppliers within the respective purchase contract and/or applicable agreement.
