Climate Bonds certification
Issuers, in order to obtain certification for their bond, must engage an approved verifier - for example, DQS. The verifier ensures that the asset complies with the requirements of the Climate Bonds Standard.

Who can apply for Climate Bonds certification?

Industry Criteria

Process
Identify projects and assets that align with relevant industry criteria and determine how to leverage returns.
Work with DQS to plan for verification even before the bond is issued. We will review the relevant information and confirm in a report that the requirements of the Climate Bonds Standard are met.
Send the DQS report to the Climate Bonds Initiative. After a positive evaluation by the Climate Bonds Initiative, you will receive the certificate and the Certified Climate Bond designation.
The bond is issued.
Schedule a second verification with DQS within 24 months of issuing the bond and send the report to the Climate Bonds Initiative.
Report annually to investors and to the Climate Bonds Initiative.
