What is IQNet SR 10?

IQNet SR 10 is a social responsibility management system that translates the contents of the CSR guideline ISO 26000 into concrete requirements. The internationally recognized IQNet SR 10 standard supports organizations of all sizes and in all industries in anchoring the basic principles of corporate social responsibility in their work processes and documenting them externally.

IQNet SR 10 requires compliance with seven basic principles that characterize a socially responsible management system: Accountability, Transparency, Ethical Conduct, Respect for Stakeholder Interests, Respect for the Rule of Law, Respect for Internationally Valid Codes of Conduct, and Respect for Human Rights.

The currently valid IQNet SR 10 standard (version 2015) has been revised and is still undergoing public comment. SR 10:2024 (in the future without the addition of IQNet) will change from a “standard” to a “specification” to distinguish it more clearly from the standards. Regarding content, the focus will shift from social responsibility to sustainable development per ISO Guide 82.

Social Responsibility (SR) or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) stands for the socially responsible actions of a company. What are the contents of IQNet SR 10?

The standard is based on the principles and core topics of ISO 26000. To ensure continuous improvement, its requirements are also based on the PDCA cycle , which makes it comparatively easy to embed in existing management systems, e.g. in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or SA8000. IQNet SR 10 is also compatible with international sustainability reporting tools such as the GRI guidelines.

What is special about auditing by DQS?

IQNet SR 10 can be applied to all types of organizations, regardless of characteristics such as location or size. For certification, you go through the classic DQS certification process. In doing so, we rely on auditors who are not only familiar with the requirements of the international standard, but also with national labor laws and the respective national language of the site to be assessed.

What is the IQNet SR 10 certification process?

Once all requirements of IQ Net SR 10 have been implemented, you can have your management system certified. In doing so, you will go through a multi-stage certification process at DQS. If a certified management system already exists in the company, the process can be shortened.

In the first step, you discuss your company, your management system and the goals of certification with us. On this basis, you will promptly receive a detailed and transparent offer, tailored to your individual needs.

The certification audit starts with a system analysis (audit stage 1) and an evaluation of your documentation, objectives, and the results of your management review and internal audits. In this process, we determine whether your management system is sufficiently developed and ready for certification.

In the subsequent system audit (audit stage 2), your auditor assesses the effectiveness of all management processes on site. In a final discussion, your auditor will provide you with a detailed presentation of the results and possible improvement potential for your company. If necessary, action plans are agreed upon.

After the certification audit, the results are evaluated by the independent certification board of DQS. You will receive an audit report documenting the audit results. If all standard requirements are met, you will receive an internationally recognized certificate.

To ensure that your company continues to meet all important requirements of IQNet SR 10 after the certification audit, we conduct surveillance audits on an annual basis. This provides competent support for the continuous improvement of your management system and business processes.

The certificate is valid for a maximum of three years. Recertification is carried out in good time before expiry to ensure continued compliance with the applicable standard requirements. Upon fulfillment, a new certificate will be issued.
