Climate Bonds certification

As sustainable finance becomes more important, there is increasing pressure on investors to also consider environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. One criterion that is becoming increasingly important is the extent to which a project contributes to global warming. Certified Climate Bonds are bonds whose assets and projects contribute to a low-emission economy.

Issuers, in order to obtain certification for their bond, must engage an approved verifier - for example, DQS. The verifier ensures that the asset complies with the requirements of the Climate Bonds Standard.
