Certification of compliance of organic production processes with Regulation (EU) No 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council

DQS Polska sp. z o.o. certifies organic farming in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 2018 on organic production and labelling of organic products and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007.

DQS Polska sp. z o.o. has been approved by the European Commission and is included in the list of recognised control bodies and certification bodies in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Organic farming certificate ensures that products meet high quality standards and are produced in a sustainable, environmentally friendly manner and in accordance with the regulations on organic production. As a result, these products can be labelled with organic logos and labels that are recognised and respected by consumers throughout the European Union.

Organic farming certification facilitates access to European markets and strengthens the company's image as a responsible producer that cares about consumers and the environment. Producers and companies with this certification gain an advantage over their competitors, building trust among customers through transparency and compliance with the strict requirements of organic farming.

Conformity assessments for certification are based on accreditation granted by the Polish Centre for Accreditation and entry in the list of recognised control bodies and certification bodies in accordance with European Parliament and Council Regulation (EU) 2018/848.

Having an organic farming certificate allows you to:

Export of organic products to the EU

Participate in the supply chain of organic products entering the EU by non-EU entities

Use of references to organic production methods in advertising and commercial documents

Use of the organic production logo in accordance with the rules set forth in EU regulations

Certification of compliance of organic production processes with Regulation (EU) No 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council is carried out according to a system comprising the following elements:

  • assessment of organic farming activities at each stage of production, preparation and distribution, carried out at least once per calendar year;
  • supervision during the period of validity of the certificate, including additional checks on organic farming activities at each stage of production, preparation and distribution, and testing of products taken from the supplier and/or the market.

Certification of organic production processes for compliance with Regulation (EU) No 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council – who is it for?

Farmers, processors and suppliers of organic products who obtain certification can expect higher profits. Certified products are highly valued by consumers, which translates into increased sales and customer loyalty. Certification enables suppliers to participate in prestigious organic markets, strengthening their market position.

We invite farmers, processors and suppliers of organic products from third countries to participate in the certification of organic products. Every stage of production is important – from cultivation and processing to export.

How to become a participant

The first step is to register with DQS Polska. To do so, please use the certification application form available here:

The completed application form should be sent to the following email address: [email protected] 

After checking the completeness of the application and its acceptance by DQS Polska, the customer receives a certification agreement.

The subsequent stages of certification are carried out in accordance with the procedures for the compliance of organic production processes with Regulation (EU) No 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

The process of certifying the compliance of organic production processes with Regulation (EU) No 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council

The client submits the scope of their activities to DQS Polska in an application for certification of organic production processes in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

DQS Polska verifies the scope of certification based on the information contained in the application. In case of doubt, we contact the client.

DQS Poland conducts an inspection at the Client's place of business.

Based on the inspection and evidence collected, DQS Poland conducts the Conformity Assessment stage.

An assessment of compliance with the requirements is carried out. The collected data is discussed and, in the event of non-compliance, corrective actions are agreed upon.

Once the non-compliance has been resolved, a full assessment is carried out in accordance with the standard for the certification of organic production processes for compliance with Regulation (EU) No 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

After a positive Conformity Assessment, DQS Poland issues a certificate.

Certificates issued by DQS Poland are made available in a list on the website - here: https://dqs.pl/CertListEU.php (link to this database is essential)

DQS Poland conducts continuous supervision of the certified Client.

The supervision includes announced and/or unannounced inspections.
